This morning I awoke to find a to-do list on the kitchen counter addressed to me. Normally I would not like to have someone else make such a list for me, but this one came from the real (and published) writer in our family, my 11-year-old daughter. Here is my to-do list according to Kristi:
DaD
List of things to do
- Say something silly
- Laugh till it hurts
- Take a risk
- Tell a secret (if you have one)
- Sing out loud
- Make a difference
- Shake things up
- Stay away from disaster
- HAVE A GREAT DAY
No doubt she is on to something. I have a lot to do today, but none of it more important than this.
This list would make for a much more fun, full, and glorious day. May I live up to it.
