One Black Friday, many years ago, I was reminded that sometimes we move on from Thanksgiving far too quickly. So on Black Friday 2020 when most of us are not battling crowds for the latest and greatest deals, I’m trying to remember to give thanks in everything.

We white people must move from seeing ourselves as allies “supporting our black brothers and sisters,” to integral partners in dismantling racist systems.
